  17. Instructions for Installing Professional Draw V3.0 on a Hard Disk:

  20.    WARNING
  21.  
  22.    To guard against damage to your diskettes, please write-protect
  23.    them before proceeding.  Move the small plastic slider so that
  24.    light can be seen through the hole.
  25.  
  26.    If, while installing Professional Draw, you are told that one
  27.    of the Professional Draw diskettes is write-protected, DO NOT
  28.    enable it.  Instead, hit the CANCEL button on the requester,
  29.    Abort and restart the installation, this time choosing a
  30.    destination on your hard drive.
  31.  
  32. Version 1.3 or higher of the mWorkbench software must be installed
  33. on your Amiga in order for this installation procedure to work
  34. correctly.
  35.  
  36. Many users can install Professional Draw in the SYS: partition of
  37. their hard disks.  This is where the mSystem, mUtilities, mPrefs, and
  38. other standard drawers can be found.  If the Workbench only shows you
  39. one disk icon for your hard drive, then this is the place to install
  40. Professional Draw.
  41.  
  42. Some users, however, will not have enough room in the SYS: partition.
  43. Owners of Amiga 2500's, especially, will likely have a very small boot
  44. partition and other, larger, partitions on which their programs and
  45. data files are stored.  These users should install Professional Draw
  46. on one of their larger partitions.
  47.  
  48. The installation procedure for Professional Draw is now done through
  49. the new Commodore installer utility. To install Professional Draw
  50. double click on the install_pdraw icon and follow the directions.  if
  51. you need help installing Professional Draw click on the installer's
  52. Help button or refer to the Professional Draw 3.0 manual.

  54. Unlike previous installation procedures, the mPDraw drawer is
  55. NOT automatically created for you. Instead the program and data files
  56. are put DIRECTLY in the drawer you select. In most cases you will want
  57. to create a new drawer for Professional Draw. To do this simply select
  58. the mCreate New Drawer... button when asked where you want
  59. Professional Draw installed.

  62. Addendum to the Manual:

  65. In your Professional Draw 3.0 package you will receive a Professional Draw
  66. version 3.0 supplement manual which describes all the new features added
  67. since version 2.0.  This also includes a full description of all Function
  68. Genies.

  70. Changes to Professional Draw 3.0 since the manual was printed:

  72. - OBJECT LAYERING
  73.  
  74.    Objects can be easily moved forward or back through the layers on the
  75.    page by first selecting the  object(s) and typing 'B' to send the
  76.    object(s) back one level, or 'F' to bring the object forward one level.

  78. - CHANGE TO THE FUNCTION GENIE: ObjectToLayer
  79.  
  80.    The operation of the Genie mObjectToLayer when asking you to
  81.    enter the numeric value of the new layer has been changed to ask for
  82.    a mouse click on the object where the selected objects are to be layered
  83.    behind.
